Yin Yoga Workshop, Saturday, April 15 from 1-4pm
Study and experience Yin yoga in a workshop with RYT, E-200, Lauren Arnett. Lauren has studied extensively with some of the premier Yin instructors and brings her love of this style of yoga to each class she teaches. You will encompass not only the benefits and a full understanding of the purpose and benefits of Yin Yoga, but will enjoy moving into stillness and through philosophical and mindfulness teachings, moving you deeper in your personal practice. INTRODUCTION TO STAND UP PADDLE BOARDING
Our 90 minute Introduction to SUP focuses on the basics of Stand up Paddleboarding. This class is perfect for beginners, or people that have been on a board, but would like to learn and improve their paddle techniques. The class will begin with paddle basics, turning techniques, safety and time on the water working on the skills. We suggest that you wear comfortable clothing that you don't mind getting wet, as well as sunscreen (if needed), a hat, a strap for your sunglasses, and please bring a towel. Come well hydrated and ready to have fun. Participants should be able to swim and must read and sign a liability release from before participating. *There are two classes scheduled in May.
Our SUP Yoga class is a 90 minute class starting with a quick lesson in paddle basics then a 60-minute yoga class on the water! Students will enjoy paddling out to a quiet spot on the lake; we'll anchor our boards and begin with pranayama. SUP Yoga includes a variety of yoga poses. We'll provide modifications to accommodate all levels. We will take a few quiet moments before paddling back; experiencing Savasana on the water is something you'll never forget! Beginners and advances practitioners will enjoy the special feeling balancing and resting to the movement of the water. We suggest you war comfortable clothing that you don't mind getting wet, as well as sunscreen, a hat, strap for sunglasses (if needed), and bring a towel. Come to class well hydrated and ready to improve your yoga practice. Participants must be able to swim and are required to read and sign a liability release before participating.
