Core Functional Training
This more demanding form of exercise is a fusion of Pilates based foundations, with the addition of moving into more functional postures, and working against resistance, with repetition to build strength, range of motion, stamina and balance. The classes are limited to 6 individuals, so the use of the Pilates Towers is available, although exercises done on the Tower are only 20% of the work that is done.
Due to the fact that good form is necessary, along with some equipment that may not be familiar to everyone, a private session is sometime a pre-requisite.
The Level 1, CFT is geared to seniors, and those healing from injuries. Level 2 is probably where most people begin after the private session, Level 3 is faster paced due to the ability and knowledge base of those that have performed this sort of exercise program for a lengthy period of time.
